'Modern Family' Season 8 Episode 14 Spoilers: Phil Reconsiders Dunphy Tower; Gloria Thinks of the Perfect Gift for Claire
Here is the promo for Modern Family Season 8 Episode 14 "Heavy is the Head", airing this Wednesday on ABC!
The upcoming episode of "Modern Family" season 8 will see Phil (Ty Burrell) and Jay (Ed O'Neill) making progress on their real estate investment, although things may go awry.
The synopsis for the next episode, titled "Heavy is the Head," states that Phil might need to reconsider his dream of building Dunphy Tower after he and Jay discover that they may have a bad investment on their hands.
Meanwhile, Gloria (Sofia Vergara) and Claire (Julie Bowen) have their own special time to bond. It is Claire's birthday and Gloria wants to give her a worthy gift that will not end up being re-gifted to someone else. Gloria decides that a luxurious day at the office is what Claire needs, but this turns out to be in poor taste because budget cuts are being made where Claire works.
Finally, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) finds himself at the hospital after he suffers a head injury. Despite needing an MRI scan, Cam will be opposed to it because of a childhood trauma he has involving a well.
A promo clip for the new episode has also been released. It features the whole clan gathering in support at the new lot Phil and Jay purchased. Phil uses a shovel to dig, but the ground proves to be harder than he had anticipated and his shovel breaks. Phil is obviously excited about their new venture together and he does not shy away from expressing it to Jay.
"We're gonna make so much money that women we don't even know are gonna want to sleep with us," Phil tells Jay. "Not that I would do that because that would be disrespectful to your daughter."
It can be recalled that Phil's decision to purchase real estate for himself was the result of a huge confidence boost after he was able to momentarily fix their dryer in the previous episode titled "Do It Yourself."
